Privacy Policy

What we collect

• What you submit: the LinkedIn profile URL, or the name and company, that you enter to run an analysis; and anything you type into the contact or suggestion forms.
• Public profile data: the publicly visible profile and activity information for the profile you analyze (experience, dates, titles, public posts).
• Technical data: when you use the site, our infrastructure provider (Cloudflare) sees your IP address, approximate location, network/ISP, browser user-agent, and referrer. We use this for security, abuse prevention, and operator alerts.

How we use it

• To generate an analysis report and an integrity score.
• To maintain a public leaderboard of analyzed profiles and their scores.
• To prevent abuse and rate-limit automated traffic.
• To notify the site operator of new searches, contacts, and suggestions.

The public leaderboard

Profiles that are analyzed may appear on a public leaderboard with their name, headline, and score. If you want a profile removed, use the contact form and we will take it down.

Service providers

We rely on a few processors to run the service: Cloudflare (hosting, storage, bot protection), OpenRouter (the AI model that helps analyze text), and Resend (email delivery for the contact form). Data shared with them is limited to what each needs to do its job.

Cookies

We use a single signed cookie only for administrator login. There are no advertising or third-party tracking cookies.

Retention and your choices

We keep one analysis record per profile, updated when it is re-analyzed, plus contact and suggestion submissions. We do not sell your data. To request removal of a profile or your contact details, reach us through the contact form.

A note on purpose

LI-Check is a research and curiosity tool. It analyzes information people have already chosen to make public. It is not affiliated with LinkedIn, and it is not intended for hiring, employment, or other consequential decisions about a person. See our Terms.
